Teachers responsible for the LINK DOCTORAL PROGRAM

The collaboration of Teachers, Researchers, national and foreign Specialists, will enrich the teaching, the discussion methods, the critique and the pedagogical format of the PhD.


Every year, each of the three universities, Lisbon, Porto and Coimbra, will be responsible for the curricular component of the programme, admissions and management in a rotation way, and will work as Host University. Coimbra University will be the Host University for the school year of 2010/2011.


Professor Carl Steinitz, will ensure 3 intensive weeks of teaching and evaluation.

EXPOSITION-SEMINAR on the TAGUS ESTUARY

LISBONS´ RIVER FRONT AND 6 MUNICIPAITIES OF THE SOUTH MARGIN


REHABILITATE, DEVELOP AND PROTECT AIMING FOR THE WORLD HERITAGE LIST?




The LINK Doctoral Program in Landscape Architecture and Urban Ecology has applied Professor Carl Steinitzs´ (Harvard University) multi-disciplinary method of public participation to analyze "how to rehabilitate, develop and protect the Tagus Estuary seeking entry into the World Heritage List?” This question involves fields as diverse as ecology, economics, soil contamination, material and immaterial heritage, urban planning, landscape architecture and urban ecology.


The result of this semesters´ work will be presented in an exhibition, inaugurated in the Salão Nobre of the Instituto Superior de Agronomia, on Fiday, May 23rd at 12:30 and at 14:30 the following Seminar.
